Koop Wind
Municipal Consultancy, Cooperative Regional Development, and Wind Energy for the Common Good
At Koop Wind, we partner with elected officials, local administrations, and civil society to drive the energy transition at the local level. Through dialogue, educational events, strategic consulting, and communication support, we advocate for a democratic and community-centered approach to renewable energy that directly benefits local communities.
With Germany’s 2022 Wind-on-Land Act setting the ambitious goal of allocating 2% of the country’s land for wind turbines, the push for wind power expansion has brought increased land-use pressures and potential for conflict. To address these challenges, we focus on fostering collaboration and building public support through early stakeholder engagement, informal participation processes, and transparent, open dialogue.
Koop Wind offers independent advice to municipalities and civil society organizations. Our tailored support includes expertise in legal, financial, and participatory frameworks, empowering communities to navigate the energy transition effectively and equitably.
